The Water Runners

The Water Runners play concerts for people who came to listen. The Kiama band blends bluegrass, country, traditional folk and roots, and most of the set is their own Australian songs from four albums, with a handful of covers. Expect storytelling in the songs and warm banter between them, in numbers like Kate Kelly's Dream, Eureka, Murrumbidgee and The Braidwood Mail. They were voted Best Band at the 2020 Australian National Busking Championships and were runners-up for the FAA People's Choice in 2025, and they've played festivals, radio, pubs and clubs around the country. Festivals, community events and corporate occasions with an attentive audience are where they shine. They prefer a PA and backline to be provided, though they can bring their own by arrangement. They're insured and travel nationwide.
