Carousel

Carousel sing the songs of Russia, Ukraine and the Cossacks. The Melbourne folk group plays fairs, festivals and cultural celebrations, with traditional songs at the heart of the program and Jewish music in the repertoire too. They perform with backing files, so the sound setup matters: plan for at least five microphones, speakers, and a way to play their tracks. Their 50 km travel radius takes in most community festivals and family celebrations around the city where a room full of voices joining in is the whole idea.
