Yana is a violinist based in Perth, WA.
Yana is a classically trained violinist who played at the Mariinsky Theatre for over ten years, as well as overseas, before making Perth home. At your event she plays over backing tracks through her own sound gear, switching between film scores, jazz standards, classical repertoire and pop covers. The pop side takes in Flowers, A Thousand Years, Viva la Vida, Somewhere Only We Know, Here Comes the Sun and Dancing Queen, with Hello, How Deep Is Your Love and Don't Stop Me Now in there as well. She'll shape the list around the mood you're after, and a proposal gets a very different set from a birthday. She turns up 20 to 30 minutes ahead to get her gear ready and sound checked. Outdoors, she needs flat ground with shade or cover to protect the violin. She travels up to 300 km.
