Amla

Amla builds songs live, layer on layer, with a loop pedal, flute, violin, vocals and xylophone. Her original and improvised pieces are ambient world music with hints of folk and a classical undertone, easy company for arrivals, a ceremony or a dinner. She also covers songs like Hey Soul Sister, Summertime, Never Gonna Give You Up and A Groovy Kind of Love, and takes requests if you send them ahead. Latin, flamenco, mariachi and classical sit in the range too, and carols come out in the lead-up to Christmas. As a duo with a guitar or mandolin player, the set can add Celtic and Irish music. She brings a speaker, mic, stand and cables. If your venue has its own PA, she'll need a DI for the loop pedal, or two for a duo. Amla is insured for public liability, lives in Reservoir, VIC, and covers a 100 km radius.
