AlCat

AlCat is a duo for listening rather than dancing. Alan Rosewarne sings and plays guitar, and Catherine Hannaford plays violin. The repertoire leans on the gentler side of the classics, with Crowded House, Cat Stevens and Neil Young beside Elton John, the Eagles, Split Enz, Jimmy Webb, the Beatles and Ronan Keating, so you might hear Harvest Moon, Rocket Man or Don't Dream It's Over. It works for a chilled afternoon gathering or a small soiree as well as a bigger concert-style show. They bring a PA for up to 100 guests, with bigger sound and lighting arranged for larger crowds. Allow at least 9 square metres on a stable floor, a platform if you have one, and shelter from sun and rain. Programs can be tailored to the occasion. Adelaide is home, the duo carries public liability insurance, and trips of up to 100 km are fine.
