Trio Failte

Three chairs is all Trio Failte ask for. They'd rather play acoustically, though condenser mics can go up if the room needs them. Fiona Davidson plays fiddle, Krista Low cello, and Margaret Schlink switches between fiddle and viola, and between them they bring Scottish fiddle, classical and Baroque backgrounds. The music is Scottish fiddle and pipe tunes, old and new, in the trio's own arrangements. A set might go from a pipe march like MacDonald of the Isles March to Harlaw into a pair of polkas, or from the slow air Music o' Spey into a reel. Jigs, strathspeys and French Breton reels turn up too. It suits a Burns night, a ceilidh or any Celtic-flavoured celebration. The Perth trio travels up to 100 km.
