Acushla

Jigs, reels and slides, played the way you'd hear them around a table at an Irish pub session. Acushla are a trio of traditional Irish musicians, and their set is entirely instrumental: tunes, not songs. They can play session-style in among your guests, or go up on stage and run it through a PA like a band. The name comes from the Gaelic phrase 'a chuisle mo chroí', pulse of my heart. The trio has its own compact PA. If you'd rather use the venue's system, they'll need four microphones with stands, front-of-house speakers, at least two foldback speakers, microphone leads, two guitar leads and armless chairs. The trio is based in Tooborac and travels nationwide. It's a good match for a St Patrick's Day function or a wedding with Irish family on the guest list.
