Tom Robb

If your band or ensemble needs a drummer who's at home with improvising, Tom Robb works in exactly that space. He's a Hobart drummer who also makes electronic music, and most of his playing sits in jazz and improvised music, though he moves into plenty of other styles as well. You'll find him on the Hobart jazz scene with several groups, among them Vibracíon, the Damien Kingston Quartet and the Jamie Pregnell Trio. That kind of regular ensemble work means he's used to listening hard and fitting in with whoever else is on stage, which counts for a lot at a jazz night or a dinner set where the music has room to breathe.
