The Caine Cutters

Six players and a set of old-school blues, the kind that gets boots stomping on a pub floor. The Caine Cutters draw on the music of Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson, with T-Bone Walker's smoother grooves, Albert King and the Bo Diddley beat in there too. Expect songs like Smokestack Lightning, Stormy Monday, Spoonful, Key to the Highway, Crosscut Saw and Sweet Home Chicago. They're a regular on the north coast, at the Nimbin Hotel, Byron Bay Services Club and the Bangalow Markets. You'll need a stage that fits six. They bring their own PA, or can plug into yours if it has 12 channels and at least two foldback monitors. Based in Byron Bay, they travel up to 100 km.
