The Barhoppers is a blues band based in Newcastle, NSW.
Six players, and every one of them sings. The Barhoppers are a Newcastle band built on blues, soul and rock 'n' roll, and they play it for people who love that music and want to dance to it. The set digs into the Stones, Muddy Waters, Elvis, Wilson Pickett, Joe Cocker and Otis Redding, with songs like Mustang Sally, Hard to Handle, Sweet Home Chicago, Proud Mary, Brown Sugar and Lido Shuffle. There's a run of classic Aussie hits too, Beds Are Burning and Dumb Things among them. Sound and lighting come with the band, sized for the gig, so the venue only needs to let them in. They travel up to 50 km.
