Sydney Drumming Group

Angle grinders, bamboo poles and kitchen pots all count as instruments for the Sydney Drumming Group. Their rhythm show borrows from everyday life, the street and the junkyard, and mixes body percussion, fire drumming and junk percussion with pyrotechnics and comic skits. It's family friendly, so it holds up at a festival as well as a company night. The show is built from short routines of three to five minutes each, which you can string together into a longer set or drop in as punchy spots between other parts of the program. There's crowd interaction along the way, and the format adapts to different performance spaces. They also play weddings and private parties.
