Playing at a funeral and leading a Burns Night supper are very different jobs, and Sydney Bagpipers take on both. You can book one piper or two. Weddings and funerals make up a large share of their work, though they've also played birthdays, company events, charity and sponsorship days, launches and openings, concerts, St Andrew's Day celebrations and highland gatherings. Pipes are hard to ignore, so they come into their own for an arrival, a procession or a moment when you want every head in the room to turn. Depending on the day, the effect can be stirring or quietly moving.
