Bagpiper of Distinction

A lone piper can carry a ceremony, and Bagpiper of Distinction has done it at weddings, funerals and some very public occasions. As current Pipe Major of Cairns RSL Pipes and Drums, this piper plays solo at the city's Anzac Day ceremony and at Cairns Police Remembrance Day, and has piped at military tattoos around the world. The repertoire sits at about 200 Scottish and Irish tunes at any time, and other requested tunes can be prepared with enough notice. Dress ranges from full military uniform to a more casual kilt and shirt. Highland dancers can be accompanied, and there's plenty of experience alongside brass, rock and folk bands, including André Rieu and Lee Kernaghan. A whole pipe band can be arranged too. Allow 15 minutes before the start for tuning. Travels nationwide from Cairns.
