Three players who improvise for a living make up Sons Of The Blues: Jerry Speiser, guitarist John Phillips and singer and showman Pat Byrne. The set leans on the old masters, Willie Dixon and Robert Johnson among them, with Crossroads Blues, Ramblin' On My Mind, Kind Hearted Woman, I'm Ready and Sweet Home Chicago next to Pride and Joy, Tore Down and Who Do You Love. Their own songs are in there too, arranged with plenty of room to stretch out. For a club night or a dinner that wants a show with a story, they also offer a history of the blues show. They'll supply all the PA, so power is the only need. Home is Melbourne, they hold full insurance, and they'll go as far as 200 km.
