Shimon is a Jewish band based in Kingsford, NSW.
A simcha needs the right songs at the right moment, and that's where Shimon and the band come in. The Sydney wedding band specialises in Jewish and Israeli music, and Shimon's years living in Israel give a deep knowledge of the music and the culture around it. Weddings, bar mitzvahs and simchas are the main bookings, along with parties. Once the traditional sets are done, the floor gets a run of party covers: Proud Mary, September, Stayin' Alive, Superstition, Daddy Cool, I Feel Good, Locked Out of Heaven, Billie Jean and Summer of '69. Shimon sings and plays guitar. The band works out of Kingsford and travels up to 50 km.
