Peter Dickson

Twin-neck guitars that he designs and builds himself are the first thing you'll notice at a Peter Dickson show. The music is a fusion of jazz with Latin, Indian and Asian influences, and his solo concerts mix serious technique with emotion and a good deal of humour. It suits a seated, listening audience, a concert or a function where the music is the feature. Peter learned his trade in London's jazz clubs and came to Australia in 1986. Since then he has made eleven recordings and toured concert halls in Japan, Europe, North America and across Asia and Australasia. He has toured and recorded with Tommy Emmanuel, toured with Martin Taylor, including a night of Django Reinhardt material at the Hobart Concert Hall, and worked with Malaysian guitarist Farid Ali and South Indian Carnatic musicians. He's based in Sydney.
