Miles To Go Band

Cittern, cello, wood flute and whistles all turn up in a Miles To Go Band set, which gives their Celtic music a sound of its own. Fremantle's David Hyams leads the band, singing and playing several instruments. Around him are Stuart Patterson on flute and whistles, John Reed on cittern, Jennifer Tingley on cello, Manoli Vouyoucalos on bass and Dana Ogle on percussion. They write new material but keep a close respect for the old traditions, and the players come from classical, jazz-funk and folk backgrounds. They play festivals, company functions and private events from their Perth base.
