Mercy-Mercy is a blues band based in Byron Bay, NSW.
Mercy-Mercy are a four-piece blues band from the New South Wales North Coast. They play classic and newer blues covers, usually with their own twist, alongside originals such as Have Mercy, Dr Blues and Man Up. Covers range from The Thrill Is Gone and Sweet Home Chicago to Give Me One Reason, Wang Dang Doodle, Come Together and Sharp Dressed Man. Their songwriting has some recognition: three songs made the shortlist in the 2018 Australian Songwriters Association Awards, and one finished tenth. Regular rooms include The Rails in Byron Bay, Twin Towns, the Chinderah Tavern, the Dolphin Hotel and The Shaws Bay Hotel. A night is usually three sets of 45 minutes or an hour. They can bring a PA with lights, are insured, and travel up to 300 km from Byron Bay.
