Harmonica out front is what marks Mainline out from most rock covers bands. Behind it sit guitar, bass and drums, and the four of them play blues rock with some Australian rock thrown in: Buddy Guy, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Cream and BB King, then Hendrix, Clapton, The Angels, the Stones and AC/DC. A standard three-hour night runs as three 45-minute sets. Front-of-house sound and lights come with the band. Plan on a stage no smaller than 4 metres by 3, under a roof or indoors, with power points nearby. Allow at least two hours for set-up before the first song and an hour to pack down. The band has played professionally since 2003 in clubs, pubs and festivals, plus private and corporate functions and weddings. Home is Parramatta, and they'll travel further afield.
