Kingpin Deluxe

Kingpin Deluxe are a four-piece from Wollongong, and their music is aimed squarely at people with a drink in one hand who are about to hit the dance floor. The base is swinging voodoo blues, with rockabilly and surf guitar thrown in. The covers take in Amy Winehouse and The Mavericks, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Steve Cropper, Eric Clapton and plenty of Chuck Berry. Shows are high energy and full of toe-tapping grooves, with the feel of an older era when a band's job was to keep people moving. Put them on at a pub night or a rockabilly party and the floor won't stay empty for long. They travel up to 200 km.
