JP

JP brings Latin percussion into house and tech music, playing live drums over the groove. He works with both hand drums and sticks, and his playing draws on Latin jazz and rock. He started out in Chile, after a few years of music theory and wind instruments, when a teacher noticed his sense of rhythm and pointed him toward the drums. Now based in St Kilda, he plays events of every size, from small private gatherings up to large festivals. Live percussion on top of house music turns a DJ-led dance floor into something closer to a show, and that's the lift JP brings.
