Its A Swing Thing

Eight musicians and stage dancers make up It's A Swing Thing, a Brisbane big band that treats swing as something to dance to. Tempos sit somewhere between 140 and 220 beats per minute, which leaves room for different swing styles and for Balboa dancers. The music starts in the 1930s and 40s, the era of the Harlem swing bands, and moves toward the crooner years of the Copacabana and Sinatra. The dancers perform routines on stage and show your guests how the moves work. For a themed night or a party full of people keen to learn a step or two, this is a proper production.
