Italo Ritmo

Italian vocals over salsa and reggaeton rhythms is the sound of Italo Ritmo, a Melbourne ensemble that plays for dancing from the first song. At full size it's eight players, and the line-up can be trimmed to suit a smaller budget, though fewer players does mean a lighter sound. The set mixes modern Italian pop and dance hits with Latin arrangements, so you'll hear Pedro by Raffaella Carrà, a salsa take on 'O Sole Mio, Lu Colombo's Maracaibo, Bailando and Despacito sung in Italian, and Volare done the Gipsy Kings way. It's made for a room where some guests know every word of Volare and others just want to salsa. The band can bring its own equipment and travels up to 50 km.
