Double Shot Maggie

Double Shot Maggie can open your night softly, with a traditional piano accordion playing as guests arrive and through dinner, then bring on the full band and turn it into a rock show. The Geelong outfit plays Irish trad-flavoured rock and punk, splitting the night about evenly between old trad tunes and modern Celtic rock, and most of it is fast and made for dancing. A few slower numbers are kept back for swaying arm in arm with a drink. There are five of them, sometimes six, with drums, so they need a proper stage. They're self-sufficient on gear, with their own PA, or they can plug into the venue's system. Pubs, festivals and weddings are their usual turf, around Geelong, Melbourne and regional cities within 200 km.
