Billy K Blues Band played Blues on Broadbeach in 2024 and again in 2025, and that's the kind of upbeat blues they bring to a club, a pub or a festival lawn. The set mixes their own songs with classic covers, rooted in the tradition of Robert Johnson, B.B. King, Freddie King and J.J. Cale. Billy K sings and writes, Peter (Gov) Govan plays harmonica, Nigel Baker is on keys, Alton Twine plays bass and sings, and John Welldon drums and sings. You can book a keys, guitar and vocals duo, a trio, or the four-piece with three-part vocals. They can bring a full PA and lighting, and they'll need a covered stage or an indoor area. Markets, private parties and corporate events suit them too. Based at Mount Nathan in the Gold Coast hinterland, they're insured and travel nationwide.
