AlphaStomp

A cigar box guitar is the first thing people notice at an AlphaStomp gig. The Burleigh Heads duo is guitar and drums, playing high-energy blues and rock with an original twist, using open tunings, slide and percussion to get a raw, stomping sound. Muddy Waters, AC/DC, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones all fed into how they play. They've worked the Gold Coast Show, Cooly Rocks, Buskers By The Creek, Blues On Broadbeach and the Scarecrow Festival, and headlined at the Gold Coast Arts Centre. In 2018 they took the show to Vienna, Prague and the Suwalki Blues Fest in Poland. A solo option is available too. They need 3 by 2 metres and a power outlet, hold public liability cover and will go up to 200 km.
