Yacht Rock Holiday

Pack the aviators. Yacht Rock Holiday is a costumed Brisbane band of seven to twelve players devoted to the smooth soft rock of the late 70s and early 80s: Hall & Oates, Boz Scaggs, Toto, Huey Lewis and Steely Dan. The musicianship is the draw, but it isn't a stiff recital. There's humour between songs, plenty of talk with the crowd, and the show sits halfway between a polished concert and a dance floor party. By the second chorus of a song everyone knows, most rooms are singing along. It's built for theatres, festivals and big venues as much as private events, and the band travels Australia-wide.
