Trumpet is a jazz band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Bebop, bossa nova, then a detour into blues, funk, soul or a bit of 50s rock 'n' roll. Trumpet cover a lot of jazz ground, and vocalist David Ruiz fronts the band. You might have caught them at the Paris Cat Jazz Club, The Park Hyatt or The Langham at Southbank, and outside the city they've played Byron at Byron in Byron Bay and the Mornington Peninsula's Willow Creek Vineyard. Private bookings take in weddings, birthdays, Christmas parties and corporate nights around Melbourne and the areas nearby. For a cocktail hour that needs some class, or a dinner that could turn into dancing later, they have the range to go either way.
