The Rescue Cats

A winery lunch or a slow Sunday afternoon is where The Rescue Cats feel most at home. The Geelong trio is a singer with electric guitar and keys, playing jazz, blues, soul and retro pop, mostly from the 60s to the 80s with some newer songs mixed in. Think Amy Winehouse, The Easybeats, Nina Simone, Blondie, Eric Clapton and Dionne Warwick. Keep them low under the chatter, or let them lift things for a sing-along and a dance. Plan on 45-minute sets, three or four depending on what you'd like, with recorded music filling each break, and their PA and mics are yours for speeches. They bring lights too. A dry, covered area around 5 by 4 metres with two power sockets is ideal. For a bigger event they can add bass and drums, and they travel up to 200 km.
