The Pointy Heads

Banjo, fiddle, double bass, guitar and cajón give The Pointy Heads a big, rootsy sound, and they fit it into surprisingly small spaces. Harmonies drive the four-piece. The set pairs their own songs with fresh takes on Johnny Cash, Old Crow Medicine Show, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Waits, folk with a modern edge. It's warm, lively music that works at a winery lunch, in a pub corner or at a wedding where the guests would rather stomp than do the macarena. They're based in Perth.
