The Jazz West Combo is a jazz band based in Sydney, NSW.

Swing meets steel guitar in The Jazz West Combo. The Sydney group plays tunes from Benny Goodman, Hoagy Carmichael and Django Reinhardt next to swinging country standards, all with real players on stage and nothing pre-recorded. Stompin' at the Savoy and Tico Tico sit beside Tennessee Waltz, Ghost Riders in the Sky, Sleepwalk and Georgia on My Mind. They can keep things laid back for a garden party or swing hard once people want to move. The duo is rhythm guitar, steel guitar and vocals. Lead guitar makes it a trio, upright bass a quartet, and the quintet adds drums for plenty of uptempo tunes. Sets run 45 minutes, two or three of them. They need a level surface, and outdoors, cover from sun, rain and wind. Battery-powered sound handles a site without mains power, and a big venue may need extra production. Insured, with travel up to 50 km.
