The Funk Syndicate is a funk band based in Waterloo, NSW.
Flares, platform shoes, wide collars and big sunglasses: The Funk Syndicate dress the part and bring the 1970s dance floor back with them. It's a funk and soul show from Sydney, and it's even better when your guests turn up in costume too. The set leans on grooves like Cissy Strut, Superstition, Brick House, Sex Machine, Move On Up, Upside Down and Love Rollercoaster, with Groove Is in the Heart and Can't Touch This thrown in for good measure. You can book one, two or three 45-minute sets. The band needs a front-of-house PA, five foldback monitors, mics and stands, a stage and lighting, and they can supply the PA and lights for you. They take bookings within about 50 km.
