Props 4 Hip Hop is a hip hop band based in Perth, WA.
Up to three 45-minute sets of live rap classics, with DJ sets in between in whatever style suits your crowd. That's a Props 4 Hip Hop night. The hits are the ones everyone knows, so expect Eminem and Missy Elliott, OutKast, Snoop Dogg, Lauryn Hill and Tupac, plus the Beastie Boys and Salt-N-Pepa. Purists get deeper golden-age cuts too, with Public Enemy, Nas, Ice Cube and N.W.A. sitting next to the Notorious B.I.G. and Wu-Tang Clan. A lot of it runs as non-stop medleys, so an old-school block of Rapper's Delight, It's Tricky and Bust a Move can roll straight into an East Coast and West Coast mix. Their scratch DJ, ADMD, supplies the beats and cuts live. The band brings its own in-ear monitors and wireless mics, can provide a PA, and can strip back to a small show for up to 50 people. Perth-based, travelling up to 50 km, and public liability insured.
