Darkrose

The instrument you'll notice first at a Darkrose performance is the didgeribone, part didgeridoo and part trombone. Two tubes slide one inside the other, so the pitch moves far more than a traditional didgeridoo allows, and the closing notes land loud. The idea behind Darkrose is Indigenous Australian music meeting modern Western sounds, with DJ and hip hop work also in the mix, and a hope of inspiring young Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians alike. It can rove through a festival crowd, entertain at a children's event or give a corporate function something genuinely different to listen to. Darkrose works from Sydney and covers a 50 km radius.
