Te Avatea Performing Arts is a Polynesian dancer based in Melbourne, VIC.
Around 30 minutes of live Polynesian drumming, singing and hula, finishing with the group's own segment called Around The World. That length slots neatly between dinner courses at a wedding or into a festival program without eating the whole afternoon. The performers need a room or area to change in, plus a power supply. Eight videos here let you see the show ahead of time. From their Melbourne base the troupe covers up to 100 km, and they're free on weekday evenings and weekends.
