Sunnyside

Sunnyside keep the volume down. It's acoustic jazz, amplified only when a large hall needs it, so guests can talk while standards and 70s rock, pop and folk classics play. The duo is Paul Baker on banjo, guitar and vocals and Jim Ranieri singing and playing tenor sax and flute. Add Paul Furniss on jazz clarinet and you have the trio. Each of them has been playing for 50 years or more. Paul Baker and Paul Furniss have both worked in the US, Asia and the Middle East as well as around Australia, and Jim has spent years in bands and concert orchestras. Requests, themes and set lists are all open to discussion. They take weddings, birthdays, parties and functions, and funerals too. Based in Parramatta, travelling Australia-wide.
