Strangers In Town don't need a stage or a PA. The Melbourne troupe is fully mobile, so they can turn up almost anywhere and start playing, mixing music with circus and comedy. The songs span a century, from the 1920s to now, in styles like swing, calypso, lounge, jazz, folk, boogaloo, Latin and even country and western. Audience involvement is part of every show. The costumes are hand painted, a swirl of cartoon blues, greens, oranges and purples that's hard to miss in a crowd. They've worked festivals, art exhibitions, neighbourhood activations, product launches and community and corporate events, and they suit fetes, parties and shopping centre promotions as well.
