Scat Man Du is a jazz band based in Brisbane, QLD.
Scat Man Du can start as soft dinner music and end the night on funk-driven jazz. The Brisbane trio is vocals, keys and double bass, and they blend jazz with funk, Latin and chilled grooves, often giving jazz classics a new arrangement. They've been regulars around the Brisbane scene for years and have plenty of wedding, restaurant and corporate work behind them. The Queensland Arts Council sent them out as a touring act in 2004 and 2005, and at the 2007 Norfolk Island Jazz Festival they supported Vince Jones. The sound is warm and acoustic, which suits a cocktail party, a restaurant booking, a birthday or a wedding where you still want conversation.
