Ruby Zoontjens

Put Ruby Zoontjens in front of a jazz band and you get a warm tone, a big range and an easy stage presence, and she's comfortable crossing into other genres when the room wants it. The Adelaide singer works with line-ups from two players up to six and travels Australia-wide. She studied voice at the Elder Conservatorium, where she completed a jazz performance degree, and she's a vocalist with the Royal Australian Navy Band, singing at official and public occasions nationwide. In 2025 the Helpmann Academy gave her its voice award, and on that same night she performed with bassist Linda May Han Oh. Lauren Henderson, Mark Ferguson, James Muller, Sam Anning and Victor Gould are among the artists she's worked with. Book her for a cocktail evening or a dinner where live jazz vocals are the centrepiece.
