Rhiannan Longley is a jazz band based in Perth, WA.
Easy-listening jazz standards, a few catchy Latin tunes and ballads people know: that's the shape of a Rhiannan Longley set, sung in a pure, clear voice. Her sound sits nicely under conversation, which is what you want at cocktails or a sit-down dinner. She's a Perth jazz vocalist and performs with a band of young WA musicians, as a duo, trio, quartet or quintet. Her influences are the great jazz singers, Billie Holiday, Carmen McRae, Astrud Gilberto and Ella Fitzgerald, along with newer names like Esperanza Spalding and Gretchen Parlato. She has sung with Katie Noonan and Gian Slater, performed to crowds of more than 4,000, and played Government House, the Perth Concert Hall, the Rendezvous Hotel and Burswood's Lobby Lounge, as well as corporate and private functions.
