Revelation Groove

Eight players and several songwriters give Revelation Groove a sound that won't sit in one box. Latin rhythms, jazz, funk, blues, a little gypsy and some soul all turn up, carried by accordion, violin, sax, keys, guitar, bass, drums and percussion, with harmonies over the top. Most of the set is their own dance-friendly songs, about everything from insomnia and dogs to tumbleweeds, train stations and politics, with a few slower numbers to let people sit down. Covers are on hand too, among them Cissy Strut, Chameleon, Back to Black, Master Blaster, Red Right Hand and Istanbul. Special requests are welcome. It's an adventurous pick for a party or festival with ears for something new. They'd rather use the venue's sound and lighting with an experienced tech, but can bring a small system of their own. The Brisbane band travels up to 200 km.
