Project Rosco Jazz is a jazz band based in Perth, WA.
Project Rosco suit the part of the night when people are talking, drinking and listening, with enough groove that a few end up dancing anyway. The Perth band plays funk, jazz, Latin, soul and ballads. At its core is guitar, bass and drums, and from there you choose what goes on top: vocals, piano, alto or tenor sax, or trumpet. Most bookings are a quartet, but it scales from a duo right up to a sextet. The players met while studying at WAAPA. They've played the Hyatt, the Sheraton and Sandalford Winery, and they were part of Telstra Rally Australia across 2004, 2005 and 2006. Cocktail parties, wedding receptions and corporate functions are where they fit best.
