Orlando Combo is a jazz band based in Melbourne, VIC.
Adam Orlando and Lucas Evans formed Orlando Combo in 2000 after meeting on a music degree together, and more than 2,500 gigs later they're still one of Melbourne's steadiest working bands. The line-up stretches from a compact trio for background jazz through to a quintet with vocals once the room wants swing. Regular work has taken them to the Australian Open, the Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington and the Australian F1 Grand Prix, plus long residencies at the Botanical Hotel and the RACV city club. The set draws on swing, bossa nova, Motown and New Orleans jazz, so a quiet dinner and a dance floor both get covered by the same band. The group holds its own insurance and takes bookings right across the country.
