No Bull

Imagine a herd of genetically modified cows with a horn section. That's No Bull, a Melbourne act of street theatre performers and musicians in bright bull costumes, complete with bullfighter trophies. The music jumps from funk, jazz and Latin to calypso, swing, country and western, and world music, with energetic drummers driving the rhythm and the horns keeping it funky. The comedy is bovine from start to finish, and audience interaction is a big part of the fun. They usually arrive as a herd of five, though a trio or duo is possible. Festivals, fetes, agricultural shows, parties, functions and shopping centre promotions are their grazing ground. Past paddocks include the Perth Royal Show, Moomba, the Royal Melbourne Show, Floriad in Canberra, the Mt Buller ski festival, Rockhampton's Beef Australia, the Melbourne Grand Prix and Geelong's Pako Festa.
