Mr Morris is a jazz band based in Sydney, NSW.

The idea behind Mr Morris is simple: your guests walk in and feel they've arrived at an elegant New York function. The Sydney band plays swing and sophisticated jazz, with or without a singer, and after more than 15 years they're as comfortable as a quiet background trio as they are as a ten-piece, the size they've taken onto the stage at the Basement. For weddings, the line-ups start with an instrumental trio of double bass, drums and keys or guitar. A horn turns that into a quartet, or a singer can take the fourth spot. There's also a five-piece with singer, and a six-piece of singer, keys, guitar, bass, drums and horn that adds a mood lighting setup. Every option comes with its own amplification, vocal PA included where there's a singer, and runs three hours, longer if you need it. Business events, private parties and special occasions are on the list too.
