Matt Dennett

Jazz is the heart of Matt Dennett's repertoire, with more than 300 songs ready, and requests are welcome with notice or without. From there it branches out: Gershwin, Fats Waller, Dave Brubeck and Herbie Hancock, popular songs from Queen, Elton John, Billy Joel and The Beatles, classical pieces by Satie, Chopin, Debussy and Liszt, and French songs and gypsy jazz from Edith Piaf to Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. Matt plays accordion too. Book solo or as a duo. Allow half an hour to an hour before the first song for set-up and a run-through with your event coordinator, and the dress is formal. You'll need a tuned piano or a power point close by for the keyboard and PA, plus food and soft drinks for the musicians. Matt holds current performers' liability insurance and a Working With Vulnerable People check, and travels up to 100 km from Canberra.
