Rich is a pianist based in Adelaide, SA.
Soft, unhurried piano is what Rich Batsford brings to a room, easy enough to talk over and good enough to stop and listen to. Sets run for up to four hours. Expect a good deal of Ludovico Einaudi, including Le Onde, Nefeli and I Giorni, next to pop songs reworked for piano, such as Elton John's Song for Guy, Billy Joel's Just the Way You Are and The Beach Boys' God Only Knows. Rich also plays his own pieces, which mix his classical training with a modern feel and have been played on ABC Classic FM. His bookings have taken him to Regattas Bistro, Chateau Tanunda and the city's convention centre. He'd rather play a real piano, but he has a digital one with its own amplifier and battery power, so say in your enquiry if you'd like him to bring it. He's based in Adelaide, travels nationwide and holds public liability insurance.
