Marty Doyle's DJ sets go digging. Instead of the obvious hits, he tends to explore the edges of forgotten music: left-field lo-fi disco, cosmic jams, African boogie, psychedelic nuggets and soul. His one test for any record is simple, and it's whether the song is good. He has played in and around some of Sydney's best-known clubs, on festival stages and in plenty of lounge rooms. That range suits a party with guests who like discovering music, a bar session or a relaxed gathering where the playlist becomes part of the conversation. He's based in Sydney.
