Alvin Quah

Alvin Quah hosts and MCs events, and food runs through almost everything else he does. His cooking comes from his Malaysian heritage and from watching his mum cook when he was growing up. He was one of the top 24 contestants on MasterChef Australia, and his food career grew from there. Before the show, his path ran through Melbourne University and a job in the pharmaceutical industry, so there's a science streak to his story too. That background makes him a natural host for an event built around food. He's based in Sydney.
