Mariana Verna sings jazz and contemporary songs with a warm, rich voice, and her duo pairs her with a pianist or a guitarist. The repertoire reaches back to the 20s and 30s, takes in 40s and 50s standards, then moves through 60s and 70s soul, blues and a little funk. It's music for a dinner, a wedding ceremony or a quiet venue night, and she also sings at funerals. Her gigs are mostly around Brisbane, within a 50 km radius.
